Fall | On a dusty and rutted gravel road, somewhere to the north of Fallon, Nevada, wind still and utterly silent—this westward view presented itself to the skies.
Months later, the sound designers at Berkeley Sound Artists asked the studio to design a cd jacket for a collection of ‘music for film’. As I listened to the tracks, the image of the Nevada landscape seemed to accompany me through soundscapes of vast beauty, emotions and stories revealed. Titles as Muevete by B. Q. Griffen, Playing With Time by J. Herbert, Love Growing by T. Boekelheide, began to inform the design of the jacket. Dreamy, layered, as etherial as the titles—the package titled Assemblage—Music for Film thus collaborated in harmony with composers and sound editors alike.
