TABLESCAPES
Some places ask very little of you beyond slowing down.
During a quiet week at Valdirose, rain softened the gardens, mornings lingered over coffee and beauty revealed in ordinary moments—a bowl of pears, worn stone, gathered flowers, afternoon light across a table.
Journal and camera in hand, I began collecting these small observations. They eventually became a small book for the innkeepers—a way of returning their hospitality through the details that had stayed with me.
